The Hong Kong Glass Manufactory was founded by Mr. Hung Sai Kwong in 1968 and is now operating in both Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Mr. Hung, after graduated from the East China Chemical Engineering College, was appointed to the China Academy of Science as a researcher in the early days of the People Republic of China. As one of the frontiers on the glass manufacturing in modern day China, he is one of the top persons in China who have the total and in-depth knowledge on glass.

Hong Kong Glass Manufactory started in Hong Kong as a glassware manufacturer in 1968. With Mr. Hung on the helm, we were one of the few factories in the entire Asia Region that could produce heat resistance glassware back in the бе70s. Our products like coffee pot and other heat resistance glassware were widely received by many places in both Europe and America.

Hong Kong Glass Manufactory at its height as a glassware manufacturer had factories in Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippine and Indonesia. In fact, to a certain degree, we had introduced the techniques of modern glassware making into the industry in Thailand, Philippine and Indonesia.

With China opening up to the world, Hong Kong Glass Manufactory decided to consolidate and took the opportunity offered. We were among the first batch of companies that move into China to setup factories.

With the move into China, Hong Kong Glass Manufactory had decided to change direction and became a plate glass processing factory instead of a glassware manufacturer.

After the move into China, Hong Kong Glass Manufactory continues to be a driving force in glass industry in the Region. We led the technology in the plate glass processing industry in the Canton Region; and indeed, many factories in the Canton Region are still using people who were trained in our factory.
